Aims and strategy

During May 2025, MER Group participated in the DEFEA exhibition in Athens, Greece. This is one of the largest defense exhibitions in Europe. Alongside the civilian aspect, the company deals with various communication products that connect air, sea, and land forces in a simple and intelligent manner. Our mission was to formulate a visual concept where the primary criterion was that a visitor passing through the exhibition could understand the company’s areas of operation in a single moment. This, of course, according to the company’s brand guidelines.

Design

Exhibition booth design in general, and this booth in particular, required precise planning of the customer experience, planning the method of product connection, positioning products in a way that would allow presentation to multiple people simultaneously, all under the major challenge of booth size which is not large and therefore required planning with extra care and attention to every detail. On the left side of the booth we created a tank model on which products were installed, and on the other side of the booth we defined a sea area, where we created a kind of warship dashboard accompanied by a powerful imagery of the sea that immediately drew in visitors in general and navy personnel in particular.

Solution

Exhibition booth design and production at a conference featuring powerful visual attractions, from 1:1 scale tanks, massive transport trucks, APCs and missiles can be challenging, but the booth design solution, starting from clear message sharpening by the marketing department, translating messages into booth planning and getting down to details that incorporated maximum utilization of booth space in hospitality experience and equipment storage alongside precise product presentation according to a very clear division for the visitor.
