Carasso Real Estate’s residential complex, Umami, continues to emphasize a unique living experience with a focus on hospitality and home cooking as a lifestyle. This year, as part of the value connection to the world of hospitality and culinary arts, collaboration with the Israeli Cuisine Festival continued. As part of this, a series of intimate dialogue sessions were held with the esteemed chef Yossi Sheetrit, who presents the connection between tradition and innovation in Israeli cuisine. The events took place in the visitor center’s display kitchen, which highlights the qualities of the residential complex and allows for a broad brand experience and exposure to a project that promotes the values of culinary and hospitality culture in Israel.
In the spacious and beautifully designed kitchen of the visitor center next to a beautiful orchard, chef Yossi Sheetrit hosted a series of unique conversation evenings. Sheetrit, one of Israel’s most beloved and respected chefs, presents a life story in 8 spectacular bites straight from his fine dining restaurant “Hiba.” During the evening, hosted by David Kishka, Sheetrit reveals the secrets of his success and sources of inspiration. He shares stories from his childhood in the Galilee, and from his experience in 20 years of working in kitchens, and even demonstrates the unique connections he creates between Middle Eastern traditions and contemporary cooking techniques.
Yossi Shitrit’s story reflects Umami’s vision for a residential experience that emphasizes cooking and hospitality. His restaurant “Hiba,” which means “halo” in Moroccan, and has even won the title of the most beautiful restaurant in the world, expresses his belief in the power of food to create identity and belonging. Shitrit emphasizes the difference between “preparing food” and “giving food,” a concept that echoes Umami’s vision. Just as the kitchen in his parents’ house was a source of comfort and love, so the residential complex encourages its residents to create similar experiences. With areas of an orchard and a surprisingly rich spice garden, it allows residents to turn every meal into an experience of giving and love, in the spirit of Shitrit’s concept.
Culinary event production is a tool for expressing a brand experience connected to the values of Caraso Real Estate’s Umami project.
